SIT has conducted its first professional training for a group of 30 clerks of the Electronic Communication Office, i.e. regulatory body of telecommunication sector in Poland. The topic of the training was "Technological changes vs regulations" and detailed subjects were about IP technologies, Voice over IP services, VoLTE, VoWiFi and their appropriate regulations. Training took place at September 2023 and shortly its continuation is planned.

Preparations for next FITCE'2024 Congress already have started. Congress will take place in Kraków, beautiful historic city of Poland, in September next year. Organizer of the Congress is SIT in co-operation with AGH, famous Mining and Metallurgy Academy in Kraków. Main topic will be "New technologies and services, opportunities and threats" and 4 sessions are planned: on cybersecurity, technologies and applications including special sessions for young PhDs and for telecom industry. SIT announces another annual competition for best engineering and masters diplomas in telecommunication academic year 2023/2024. Competition is organized already from 10 years for students and supervisors of their thesis in the biggest telecommunication faculties in Gdańsk, Kraków, Poznań, Warszawa and Wrocław. Piotr Kuriata became the President of Polish Association of Telecommunication Engineers elected at the GA of SIT in Warsaw for a new 4 years term.
